Biography
Dr. Tahir Mehmood completed his PhD in Information Engineering from the University of Brescia (Italy) in 2021 and did MSc in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Malaysia). Dr. Tahir Mehmood was part of the Italian National Project, “Infrastructures and services for Sustainable and Resilient Mobility - MoSoRe@Unibs” total budget of 10,943,963.97€, where he worked on the topic, “Analysis and development of innovative Artificial Intelligence, Learning and Automated Planning techniques for Autonomous Systems” during his post-doc fellowship. As an exchange student during his PhD, Dr. Tahir Mehmood was involved as visiting scholar in Natural Language Processing group at Bruno Kessler Foundation ( R & D Institute), Italy. His PhD work mainly focused on the biomedical named entity recognition task in the biomedical text data using deep learning approach. Currently, he is serving as a senior lecturer at UNITAR International University, Malaysia. His research interests include natural language processing, deep learning, generative AI, image processing, and machine learning.
